BIOL 110 and BIOL 111 are waived if BIOL 160 and BIOL 130 have been completed (offerings limited or unavailable at the main campus)
BIOL 306 is waived if CNR Summer Field Experience or NRES 475 is completed
Note: BIOL 385 is strongly advised for students interested in pursuing careers focused on Human health. Select schools require completion of physiology within three years of entering graduate programs
Note: The combination of BIOL 314 and BIOL 320 also counts towards 5 of the required elective credits for this emphasis . BIOL 314 and BIOL 320 are strongly advised for students interested in pursuing a career in Human health
Note: CHEM 325 is strongly advised for students interested in pursuing a career in Human health other than a career as a Physician Assistant. Students are then also strongly advised to take CHEM 326 (see the emphasis -specific collateral course requirements) unless CHEM 221 and CHEM 222 are taken.
Note: Students interested in pursuing a career in Human health or Veterinary Medicine other than a career as a Physician Assistant are strongly advised to complete both a course in statistics and a course in calculus.

BIOL 387 is strongly advised for students interested in pursuing a career in human health. Select schools require completion of anatomy within three years of entering graduate programs.
Courses listed here can be taken to meet the elective requirement if not used to fulfill other requirements
Notes:
Up to 4 credits of BIOL 397 in combination with BIOL 399 can be applied to the emphasis.
It is recommended that BIOL 498 be taken with the topic of Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Workshop
It is recommended that BIOL 499 be taken with the topic of Winter Preceptorship
Additional electives, including other sections of BIOL 498 or BIOL 499, may be possible as recommended by your major adviser.
Note: CHEM 365 and CHEM 366 are strongly advised for students interested in pursuing a career in Human health other than a career as a Physician Assistant. CHEM 260 may still require CHEM 326 depending upon which organic chemistry requirement was taken.
